Marnie Sutch, CEO
I am the CEO of Valentis Security and have over 14 years of experience in the private security sector. I have worked as a guard, trainer, and administrator during my time in the security industry. I am a member of ASIS and Valentis Security is certified nationally as a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise. I have a Bachelor of Science in business from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I was born and raised and raised my own children in Pittsburgh. I am an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, rafting, camping, and biking. I am an avid runner and member of the Steel City Road Runners’ Club and Trail Sisters, Pittsburgh Chapter. I am a 2020 ambassador for Team BTT (Beyond the Trail). BTT is a nonprofit trail running group that is focused on removing the stigma surrounding mental health issues and offers access to mental health care to the running community and beyond. I also volunteer periodically, helping to provide logistics support for Tall Ships America at their maritime festivals throughout the United States. I strongly believe in preserving our maritime history and teaching mariner skills to the younger generations as a way to develop teamwork and leadership.
Dan Ries, Security Manager
I am a retired police chief with 14 years’ experience in managing a police department as well as events around the department. I have 19 years of law enforcement experience and I also served for 7 years in the United States Air Force. I grew up in the Shenandoah Valley in Front Royal, VA, where I Graduate from high school and was a proud Eagle Scout. I attended Mercyhurst College and the Community College of the Air Force. Now I volunteer my time to help my fellow veterans at my local VFW Post 4965 in West Springfield, PA, where I am the Jr. Vice Commander.
